Landmark empowerment initiative across 22 senior secondary schools in Zaria.
As part of its 2026 interventions, the iDanraka Care Foundation successfully trained 2,200 female students drawn from 22 senior secondary schools across Zaria, with 100 students selected from each school.
The participants received hands-on training on how to produce household consumables including Semovita, Bournvita, children starter foods, and Maggi seasoning.
At the end of the training, certificates were presented to all participants in recognition of their successful completion of the program.
This initiative encourages entrepreneurship and self-reliance among young women, providing them with practical skills for economic independence. Many participants have expressed interest in starting small businesses using their newly acquired skills.
School administrators praised the program for its practical approach to empowerment. "My daughter now knows how to produce Bournvita and Semovita. She's talking about starting a small business. This training has given her confidence and purpose," shared Hajiya Mariam, parent of one participant.
The Foundation plans to extend similar training to more schools across Kaduna State in the coming months.
